Laugh and you’ll keep your sanity.

Of course, I’m continuing to write my mystery series, but as things got grimmer in the world, I found that I needed a break. What kept me on an even keel was . . . cat and kitten youtube videos! Cats talking to their humans, cats singing “Old MacDonald” with their humans, cats talking to each other. Dozens and dozens and dozens of cat and kitten videos. Watching and listening to these cats and kittens at night as I was going to sleep really helped me. (Not “doom-scrolling” politics was helpful, too). And, in between the videos, I reconnected to some of my favorite cat humor books: the spoof on Lao Tsu’s Tao Che Ching called “The Tao of Meow” by Waldo Japussy, Paul Gallico’s “Honorable Cat”, and my very favorite book of cat humor that’s recently been updated: Suzy Becker’s “All I Need To Know I Learned From My Cat.”  If you haven’t discovered Suzy and her cat Binky, do yourselves a favor and hop onto to her page at Amazon and order the updated book. It’s guaranteed to make you chuckle. Then go on over to you tube and type “cats talking to each other” in the search bar. Happy smiling!
